The Commonwealth farm is in the valley Thjorsardalur, near Burfell Power Station.
How do I get there?
One drives from Selfoss along Suðurlandsvegur (road 1) and takes road 30 in the direction of Flúðir. Next one turns onto road 32, Árnes which leads into Þjórsárdalur.
From road 1 one can also turn off at road 26, Landvegur, west of Hella. The road goes through Holt and Land, by Galtalækur, east of Þjórsá at Búrfell. A short distance from Sultartangi Power Station one takes a turn at road 30 in the direction of Búrfell Power Station.
